GUANGZHOU (ICIS news)--China’s major polyamide producer Pingdingshan Shenma Engineering Plastics is in talks with France’s Rhodia Polyamide to form a strategic partnership, sources at Shenma said on Tuesday.
“There’ll be some form of partnership but it’s still under discussion,” one of the sources said on the sidelines of the Chinaplas 2009 exhibition, declining to reveal further details.
Rhodia Polyamide’s president Laurent Schmitt said that the company was open to a partnership if it could benefit both partners and their customers, but he declined to comment further.
Schmitt was answering a reporter’s inquiry on the suggestion of partnership talks during a press conference.
