SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Shanghai Wujing plans to shutdown its 550,000 tonne/year acetic acid plant for 10-day maintenance in June instead of July, a company official said on Wednesday.

The company operates two acetic acid production lines with a total capacity of 550,000 tonnes/year at Wujing, Shanghai.

“We will shut the lines one after another from mid June instead of July,” the official said in Mandarin.

Current operating rates were reported at 80%.

The producer said it had raised its offers to CNY3,000/tonne ($437/tonne) ex-tank this week, up CNY100/tonne citing supply concerns.
