SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Japan’s Mitsubishi Chemical plans to shut its Kashima-based 371,000 tonne/year styrene monomer (SM) unit in end-June for maintenance, a company source said on Thursday.
The shutdown is in line with the turnarounds of the company’s three aromatics units.
The SM unit would be off line for around 40 days and was scheduled to restart in early August, the source added.
