PRAGUE (ICIS news)--Poland’s second-largest fertilizer producer, Zaklady Chemiczne Police (ZChP), is in the process of appointing three new directors to work with the CEO in implementing a crisis-period strategy, Poland's treasury ministry said on Thursday.
Of the previous four-member management board only CEO Ryszard Siwiec was still in place following the emergence of liquidity difficulties at the company, the ministry said.
In April, unions at ZChP requested that the treasury ministry change the management of the state-controlled firm.
The company earlier called for 300 employees to enter into a voluntary redundancy programme as part of its cost-cutting, but only 30 workers had so far applied, it said.
