Czech Agrofert starts trial production at biodiesel components plant

PRAGUE (ICIS news)--Agrofert's Preol subsidiary has started trial production at its 100,000 tonnes/year rapeseed oil methyl ester (ROME) biodiesel component plant, the Czech company said on Friday.

The facility, in Lovosice in the north of the Czech Republic, should achieve commercial production within three weeks, Agrofert added.

Built at a cost of koruna (Kc) 1.6bn ($84.2m/€59.5m), the plant is capable of processing up to 400,000 tonnes/year of rapeseed.

($1 = Kc19.01, €1 = Kc26.9)
