NEW DELHI (ICIS news)--India has imposed new anti-dumping duty (ADD) on potassium carbonate imports from the EU, China, South Korea and Taiwan, a government official said on Thursday.
The five-year levy was imposed with immediate effect following the lapse of the previous ADD on 9 June. The company-specific definitive ADD ranges from $9.45/tonne to $123.86/tonne.
The Finance Ministry introduced the levy following a recommendation from ?xml:namespace>
Potassium carbonate is used in the manufacture of pesticides, pharmaceuticals, dyes and ophthalmic glasses.
