NEW DELHI (ICIS news)--India has extended the validity of anti-dumping duty (ADD) on caprolactam imports from Japan, the EU, Nigeria and Thailand by around six months to 20 April 2010, a government official said on Wednesday.
The existing five-year ADD was valid to 16 November 2009. The decision to extend the tenure of this reference price-based tariff was taken at the recommendation of the anti-dumping authority (?xml:namespace>
Domestic producers of caprolactam are Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (GSFC) and Fertilizers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT).
Caprolactam serves as a monomer for production of nylon-6.
