Mitsui restarts Singapore phenol-acetone plant on schedule

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Asia's largest phenol-acetone producer, Mitsui Chemicals, restarted its Singapore plant on 21 June, following a scheduled shutdown from mid-May, a company official said on Thursday.

"The plant is now running at full capacity," the source said.

The facility at Jurong Island in Singapore has a nameplate capacity of 300,000 tonnes/year of phenol and 180,000 tonnes/year of acetone.
