CRUDE: August WTI: $69.89/bbl, down $1.60; August Brent: $69.30/bbl, down $1.69
The NYMEX WTI (West Texas Intermediate) crude contract for August delivery settled down $1.60/bbl on lower consumer confidence figures and a stronger dollar. August Brent was down $1.69 on dismal GDP figures for the
NATURAL GAS: $3.835/MMBtu, down 10.9 cents
Natural gas futures sank for the second straight day as the energy complex took wholesale losses.
RBOB: $1.8972/gal, down 3.86 cents
Reformulated gasoline blendstock for oxygenate blending (RBOB) values gained a little strength throughout the day, but still ended in the red on sour economic data and light sweet crude under $70/bbl.
BENZENE: down at $2.85-2.92/gal
Spot benzene in the US Gulf slipped to $2.85-2.92/gal following the settlement of July contracts at the upper end of this range. The lower spot price compares with $2.90-2.95/gal FOB (free on board) on Monday.
ETHYLENE:
PROPYLENE: Refinery-grade propylene (RGP) was steady at 37 cents/lb amid soft demand.
