GUANGZHOU (ICIS news)--Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Group started up its new 200,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) facility at Yan'an, Shaanxi province, in late June, bringing its total PP capacity to 300,000 tonnes/year, a company source said on Monday.
"Commercial run will start within this month," the source said, adding that in-house liquified petroleum gas (LPG) would be used as a feedstock.
The company did not reveal its total investment in the new unit, construction of which started around two years ago, the source added.
