HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Plastics compounder and distributor A Schulman plans further job cuts and consolidations in international operations, saving $600,000-800,000 (€432,000-576,000) annually beginning in early 2010, company officials said on Wednesday.
The company is negotiating with unions over the potential closures, said chief executive Joseph Gingo on a conference call with investors.
The planned cuts, which will be implemented within the next 3-6 months, are in addition to capacity reductions announced earlier in the year.
