Bayer MaterialScience lifts force majeure for TDI in Europe

TORONTO (ICIS news)--Bayer MaterialScience has lifted its lifted force majeure (FM) for toluene diisocyanate (TDI) in the Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) region with immediate effect, it said on Thursday.

“The damage to the company’s chlorine electrolysis plant at the Brunsbuttel [Germany] site has been repaired,” Bayer said in a brief statement.

“The TDI facility with its total production capacity of 125,000 tonnes/year has thus returned to normal production.”

Bayer declared the FM last week following a power supply disruption to its production at Brunsbuttel.
