Belarus H1 potash production down 60% year on year

MOSCOW (ICIS news)--Belarus produced 1.09m tonnes of potash, down 60% year on year, from January-June 2009, the country’s statistical agency said in a statement released on Friday.

The country's nitrogen fertilizer production reached 379,100 tonnes in the same period, down 5.6% year on year, according to the statement.

Belarus’ total plastic and synthetic resin production was down by 10% year on year at 179,500 tonnes, while the country's fibres and yarns production was down by 24% at 86,500 tonnes, the statement said.
