SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--South Korea’s largest polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle chip producer, KP Chemical, is currently running its Ulsan plant at full capacity due to strong demand, a company source said on Thursday.
"Demand for bottle chips remains good and we have no immediate plan to adjust our operating rate," the source said.
The firm’s facility in Ulsan, southeastern Korea, has four lines with an annual capacity of 400,000 tonnes of PET bottle chips.
PET bottle chips are used to manufacture bottles for drinking water and cooking oil.
