TORONTO (ICIS news)--BASF reduced emissions at its Freeport site in Texas by 14% last year compared with 2007, it said on Friday.
Since 2000, BASF’s total toxic release inventory (TRI) emissions at ?xml:namespace>
BASF also noted improvements to the site’s nitrate recovery plant, which helped in reducing water emissions by 96% since 2000, it said.
The site employs a permanent staff of 600 and over 400 contractors.
