HOUSTON (ICIS news)--An India court issued an arrest warrant for the former chairman of US Union Carbide, whose plant’s 1984 chemical spill killed thousands in Bhopal, India, news reports said on Friday.
Warren Anderson and Union Carbide, which was acquired by Dow Chemical in 2001, were charged with culpable homicide, grievous assault and other crimes related to the disaster.
Dow did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
