GUANGZHOU (ICIS news)--Sinopec's subsidiary Yizheng Chemical Fibre Co (YCF) plans to start construction of a 60,000 tonne/year polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) unit in Yizheng, Jiangsu province in eastern China, on 6 August, a company source said on Tuesday.
Construction would take around 14 months to complete, the source said.
The firm would import technology for the plant from Japanese electronic giant Hitachi, Sinopec said on Monday.
YCF currently operates a 20,000 tonne/year PBT facility at the same site, the source said.
