India’s MMTC seeks global bids for 190,000-tonne DAP tender

NEW DELHI (ICIS news)--India’s MMTC has invited global bids for the import of 190,000 tonnes of diammonium phosphate (DAP) for delivery during September-October, the company said on Friday.

The company would take delivery of the fertilizer in five different parcels at three ports, it said.

The selected bidder(s) would have to deliver 50,000 tonnes of DAP to Mundra port, in Gujarat state, during 10-15 September, MMTC said.

The second parcel would also consist of 50,000 tonnes of DAP to be delivered to the same port during 10-15 October.

The third and fourth parcels would each consist of 30,000 tonnes of DAP to be delivered to Vizag port, in Andhra Pradesh state, during 10-15 October.

The fifth parcel, consisting of 30,000 tonnes, would have to be delivered during 10-15 September to Tuticorin port, in Tamil-Nadu state.

The last date for the submission of bids is 12 August, and bidders are required to keep their offers valid for 30 days from the due date of opening, the tender document said.

The company can increase or decrease the required quantity by 10%, it said.

MMTC, a state trading agency, sells DAP to domestic fertilizer companies.
