LONDON (ICIS news)--Arkema’s methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) and methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK) facilities in La Chambre, France, are back online following planned maintenance, a company source said on Monday.

Stock levels were low and the units were running at full operating rates in order to rebuild inventories, added the source.

The MEK unit resumed output over the weekend of 8-9 August, followed by the MIBK facility on the 13 August, said the source.

The nameplate MEK capacity of the La Chambre site is 55,000 tonnes/year, while the nameplate capacity of the MIBK facility is 15,000 tonnes/year, according to the ICIS plants and projects database.
