SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--US titanium dioxide (TiO2) producer Huntsman Corporation announced on Wednesday its second price hike in two months for its products sold in Asia.
TiO2 prices in the Asia-Pacific region would increase by $150/tonne (€107/tonne) effective 1 September, subject to contractual obligations, the company said in a statement.
In early June, the company had proposed a hike of $100/tonne, effective 1 July.
TiO2 producers attribute the price increase to recovering demand, tight supplies and their need for better margins.
