XI'AN, SHAANXI (ICIS news)--Iran’s Fanavaran Petrochemical Co plans to keep its 150,000 tonne/year acetic acid plant at Bandar Imam shut through September, citing prevailing mechanical issues at its upstream carbon monoxide (CO) unit, a company official said late on Thursday.

"We have no spot cargoes available as the plant will remain shut until late September," the official said.

The plant, which had been taken off line in mid-July due to CO supply issues, was earlier scheduled to be restarted in the second half of August.
