LONDON (ICIS news)--Industrial output in the EU fell 24% in June compared with the same month last year, while production of chemicals fell 21%, official statistics agency Eurostat said on Tuesday.
In the 16-member eurozone, industrial production in June decreased 25.1%, while chemicals output fell 23.1% year on year.
The production of chemicals in June was down 1.2% against May's figure in the 27-member EU and was up 5.9% in the eurozone industry.
Compared with May, total industrial production was down 0.4% in the EU but up 3.1% in the eurozone.
