MOVES: Cognis appoints Marco Panichi as new CFO

LONDON (ICIS news)--Marco Panichi has been appointed as Cognis' new chief financial officer (CFO), the German specialty chemicals company said on Wednesday.

Panichi is replacing Klaus Edelmann, who will leave the position of CFO on 1 October and become a member of the supervisory board as well as advise the company’s owners in a consulting capacity, it said.

Panichi has been with Cognis since 1999 and is currently group vice president of corporate controlling and development, the company said in a statement.

His appointment is to be decided by the company's supervisory board at its next meeting in September.
