PTT Chem to shut ethane cracker for Oct maintenance

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--PTT Chemical plans to shut its 460,000 tonne/year ethane cracker at Mab Ta Phut for a month-long turnaround in October, a source close to the company said on Friday.

The source did not provide specific shutdown dates for the facility that is known as the I-1 cracker.

PTT also plans to shut its 250,000 tonne/year derivative high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plant at the same site in early October for maintenance.
