SHANGHAI (ICIS news)--China’s Jilin Petrochemical, a subsidiary of PetroChina, plans to start up its new 210,000 tonne/year acrylonitrile (ACN) plant at Jilin in November, a company source said on Wednesday.
"The construction of the new plant was almost completed earlier this month, and we are now doing the final safety-test work for the whole plant, which is expected to start commercial operation in November," the source said.
The company operates two other ACN lines, each with a capacity of 106,000 tonnes/year, at the same site. Both were running normally, according to the source.
Jilin Petrochemical is located in the northeastern Jilin province.
