HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Shell plans to take its Deer Park OP-2 cracker in Texas offline next week for a planned turnaround, market sources said on Friday.
A Shell spokesperson confirmed the information but declined to give details, citing company policy.
Shell’s OP-2 cracker has 587,000 tonnes/year of ethylene capacity.
The company has a second cracker in Deer Park, OP-3, with capacity of 862,000 tonnes/year.
