Japan’s Mitsui Chemicals to shut Osaka melamine unit in October

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Japan’s Mitsui Chemicals plans to shut down its 40,000 tonne/year melamine plant at Osaka in late October for a month-long turnaround, a company source said on Tuesday.

"We will be opening at the end of November," the source said.

Melamine adhesive resins are used in the making of wood panels for flooring and the construction of kitchen and bathroom cabinets.
