SINGAPORE(ICIS news)--Chinese industries have remained on an expansion mode for the seventh consecutive month in September based on China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP) data released on Thursday.

The country’s manufacturing purchasing managers’ index (PMI) last month recorded a reading of 54.3%, up 0.3 percentage points from August, CLFP said.

The PMI has stayed above the 50% threshold indicating expansion since March this year aided by the government's massive stimulus package, bolstering hopes that China’s recovery is firmly on track.
