The turnaround has been postponed from 1 October due to the unavailability of a catalyst and some mechanical parts that the company was planning to replace during the shutdown, the source said.
The unit produces 125,000 tonnes/year of benzene and 275,000 tonnes/year of paraxylene (PX).
"We also had a five-day outage at the plant last week due to some mechanical issues, so we can take this chance to build up some inventories for our contract obligations," said the source.
