TORONTO (ICIS news)--LSB Industries has agreed to a long-term deal to supply Yara with diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), an additive used to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions from diesel engines, the US-based diversified manufacturing and engineering services firm said on Tuesday.
The deal comes as US regulations bringing NOx emissions to nearly zero will be fully implemented in 2010.
The DEF would be produced by LSB subsidiary Cherokee Nitrogen at a chemical plant in Cherokee, ?xml:namespace>
Yara would market the product under its Air1 brand name, LSB said.
Financial terms, contract length or volumes were not disclosed.
