Tongsuh to shut Ulsan ACN plant on 8 Oct for maintenance

SINGAPORE (ICIS news) – Tongsuh Petrochemical will shut down its 300,000 tonne/year acrylonitrile (ACN) plant in Ulsan, South Korea, from 8 October for a month-long turnaround, a company source said on Wednesday.

Tong Suh runs two ACN lines, with capacities of 70,000 tonnes/year and 230,000 tonnes/year, at Ulsan. Both lines will be shut down for maintenance, the source said.

Tong Suh Petrochemical is a subsidiary of Japan’s Asahi Kasei.
