HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Saudi Arabian fertilizer maker Al-Bayroni Al-Jubail a SABIC affiliate, has contracted the Texas-based construction firm KBR Technology for the installation of new equipment at an existing ammonia plant in Jubail, KBR said on Tuesday.
KBR would provide engineering design, procurement and installation support services for a new auxiliary boiler and a reformer convection section for the ammonia plant, which was originally built in the 1980s using KBR’s ammonia technology, the company said.
Established in 1971, Al-Bayroni is a 50-50 joint venture between SABIC and Taiwan Fertilizer Company.
