Swiss Syngenta Q3 sales fall 12%

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Swiss agribusiness group Syngenta said on Friday its third-quarter sales declined 12% year on year to $2bn (€1.34bn).

Revenue from its crop protection business declined 14% to $1.61bn as sales to Europe, Africa and the Middle East slumped 29% while those from north American also slipped 20% during the period.

In the first nine months of the year, sales totalled $8.7bn, unchanged from the same period last year.
