SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Thailand’s PTT Chemical is scheduled to start up its new 400,000 tonne/year linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) plant at Mab Ta Phut next week, a source close to the company said on Monday.

"The plant is expected to start up on 3 November," the source said.

The company’s new 1m tonne/year upstream ethane cracker at the same site is due to start later this year though sources said the start up could be delayed to early next year.
