SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Chinese producer Yankuang Guohong Co restarted its 500,000 tonne/year methanol unit at the end of last month, a company source said on Monday.
The plant was shut on 15 Oct for a scheduled turnaround.
Market players said there were alternative sources of material and therefore the 2-week shutdown had not affected prices greatly.
Chinese methanol price was at $255-258/tonne (€173-175/tonne) CFR (cost and freight) ?xml:namespace>
