NOON SNAPSHOT - Asia Markets Summary

SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Here is Wednesday’s mid-day Asia oil and chemical market summary from ICIS pricing.

CRUDE: Crude: December WTI $79.43/bbl down 17 cents/bbl ; December BRENT $77.85/bbl, down 26 cents/bbl

Oil prices fell Wednesday following release of data showing an unexpected strong build-up in gasoline stocks and distillate supplies last week.

NAPHTHA: Asian naphtha prices opened $15/tonne firmer Wednesday. Second-half December price indications were pegged at $680.50-683.50/tonne CFR (cost and freight) Japan, first-half January at $678.50-681.50/tonne CFR Japan and second-half January at $676.50-679.50/tonne CFR Japan.

BENZENE: Buy-sell indications for December loading widened from Tuesday’s close at $770-790/tonne FOB (free on board) Korea. Selling indications for January lots rose $5/tonne to $790/tonne FOB Korea, against stable bids at $780/tonne FOB Korea.

TOLUENE: Market opened on a quiet note with buy-sell indications for December lifting assessed unchanged at $765-775/tonne FOB Korea.
