“Agrium’s latest revised offer is very far from compelling,” said Stephen Wilson, CF's chairman, president and CEO.
On 5 November, Agrium raised the cash portion of its bid for CF to $45/share (€30/share), up from the previous offer of $40/share plus one Agrium share, saying that was its best and final offer in the long-running battle to acquire CF.Wilson said that CF would continue to pursue its own bid to acquire rival Terra Industries.
CF stockholders must tender their shares by 18 November, Agrium said.
