SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--India’s Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corp restarted its 70,000 tonne/year isopropanol (IPA) plant at Mumbai, Maharashtra state, on 9 November after a two-week turnaround, a company official said on Wednesday.

The plant was expected to resume operation on 6 November but the restart was delayed due to technical issues, the official said.

Domestic IPA prices were mainly stable at rupees (Rs) 52/kg ($1,123/tonne) ex-tank this week although Deepak was eyeing higher prices at Rs55/kg ex-tank due to limited stocks after the turnaround, the official added.

($1 = Rs46.32)
