SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Japan's Mitsubishi Chemical is on track to scrap its Mizushima-based 100,000 tonne/year paraxylene (PX) facility in May 2010, a company source said on Thursday.
“There is no competitiveness in that plant,” the source said.
In addition to scrapping its PX facility in May 2010, Mitsubishi Chemical would also close a 250,000 tonne/year PTA facility in ?xml:namespace>
