MUMBAI (ICIS news)--India’s HPCL-Mittal Energy Limited (HMEL) plans to commission its new refinery and 440,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant at Bhatinda, Punjab, in the first quarter of 2011, a company source said on Wednesday.
Work on the project, known as Guru Gobind Singh Refinery (GGSR), was going on schedule, the source added.
The PP plant, based on Lummus Novolen technology, is part of the new 9m tonne/year refinery.
HMEL is a joint venture between state-owned Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and Mittal Energy Investments Pte Limited, the Singapore-based subsidiary of Luxembourg-incorporated Mittal Investments.
