SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--South Korea’s Hanwha Chemical plans to carry out phased shutdowns for maintenance work at its polyethylene (PE) plants next year, a company source said on Monday.
Some of Hanwha’s low density polyethylene (LDPE) facilities at Yeosu and ?xml:namespace>
Its No 3 linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) plant at Yeosu will be shut for 11 days in May and for 12 days October, the source said.
The producer’s supplies were expected be tight around the maintenance periods, but it would manage its inventories in line with the turnaround schedule to prevent severe supply disruptions, the source said.
