LONDON (ICIS news)--Yuzhny ammonia exports totalled 183,805 tonnes in November, down almost 100,000 tonnes on the 283,231 tonnes shipped in October, customs data showed on Friday.
Shipments totalled 245,410 tonnes in November 2008.
Exports of Russian ammonia reached 133,132 tonnes, down from 216,714 tonnes in October, while Ukrainian shipments totalled 50,673 tonnes in November, down from 66,714 tonnes the previous month.
The main export destination in September was Turkey with 75,809 tonnes, compared with 54,816 tonnes shipped in October.
A 23,000 tonne cargo initially destined for Belgium was moved to India instead.
Other export destinations for Yuzhny ammonia in November were Belgium (49,315 tonnes), Tunisia (46,629 tonnes) and France (12,052 tonnes).
Shipments in the first 11 months of the year reached 1.78m tonnes, compared to 3.24m tonnes in the same period of 2008.
Yuzhny is a major trading port in the Black Sea, while the Ukraine and Russia are major ammonia trade sources in the world owing to large natural gas reserves.
