Eastman Texas cracker restarting from unplanned outage

HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Eastman Chemical is restarting its largest cracker in Longview, Texas, and hopes to return to production this weekend, a company spokesperson said on Thursday.

Full production is expected a few days later, the company said.

Longview cracker number 4, which has 358,000 tonnes/year of ethylene capacity, experienced an unplanned outage on the evening of 5 December.
