Chevron Phillips starts maintenance at Texas cracker

HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Chevron Phillips Chemical on Wednesday began maintenance associated with the regeneration of converters at its Port Arthur ethylene plant in Texas.

Emissions associated with the procedure were expected to last until 24 December, the company said in a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

Chevron Phillips declined to comment on the filing.

The company has 803,000 tonnes/year of ethylene capacity in Port Arthur.
