MOVES: DSM appoints new chief purchasing officer

LONDON (ICIS news)--DSM has appointed Tim Tolhurst as its chief purchasing officer as of 1 January 2010, the Dutch specialty chemical maker said on Tuesday.

The company said Tolhurst would succeed Ton Trommelen, who will retire as from 1 February 2010.

Tolhurst joined DSM in November 2009 from Swiss flavours and fragrances group Firmenich Group, where he was global vice president purchasing and logistics.

“He is highly experienced in the area of purchasing and has held several senior positions in this field with previous employers including Thorn EMI, Mars, SmithKlineBeecham and Quest International,” DSM said in a statement.
