GUANGZHOU (ICIS news)--Shandong Dongda Chemical has started commercial operation at its new 60,000 tonne/year polyether polyols unit at Zibo, eastern China on 18 December, a company source said on Tuesday.
The company’s polyols capacity was expanded to 160,000 tonnes/year when the new unit started operations, the source said.
Shandong Dongda spent yuan (CNY) 110m ($16.1m) to build the polyethers polyols plant, which yielded more than 10,000 tonnes of products since test runs were conducted in mid October, she said.
The company sells its polyols to both domestic and overseas markets, the source said.
