Belarus Jan-Nov 2009 potash production down by more than half

MOSCOW (ICIS news)--Belarus produced 2.24m tonnes of potash in January to November of 2009, 51.7% down year on year, the country's statistical agency said in a statement on Monday.

Nitrogen fertilizers production reached 663,500 tonnes or 1.1% down, according to the statement.

Belarus's total plastic and synthetic resin production was down by 12.8% year on year at 322,100 tonnes, while the country's fibres and yarns production was down by 13.4% at 181,500 tonnes.
