NEW YORK (ICIS news)--US bioplastics producer Cereplast will expand its ability to supply Europe through an extended distribution agreement with US-based plastics supplier A Schulman, Cereplast chairman and chief executive Frederic Scheer said on Monday.
The agreement will be formally announced in the next few days, Scheer said in an interview with ICIS.

“We are in the process of restructuring our sales department as we aim to be more active and aggressive in sales and marketing this year,” said Scheer.
Cereplast currently markets 100% renewable-based compostable resins targeting single-use disposables and packaging applications, as well as hybrid resins that replace up to 50% of petroleum content in conventional plastics with plant-based resins, the company said.
