HOUSTON (ICIS news)--Pacific Ethanol has resumed production at its 90m gal/year (341m litres/year) Burley plant in Idaho, citing improved market conditions for producing the biofuel, the bankrupt producer said on Wednesday.

The company shut down the facility in February 2009, three months before its subsidiaries filed for bankruptcy protection under Chapter 11.

Last month, the company received US bankruptcy court approval for the ethanol plant’s restart.
