SINGAPORE (ICIS news)--Emirates National Oil Co (ENOC) is expected to start operations at its new 35,000 bbl/day reformer in the second quarter, an industry source said on Tuesday.

The start-up plan was originally targeted in the third quarter of last year, but additional tests on the gasoline-making unit were necessary, the source said.

Last year, ENOC scheduled to upgrade its 120,000 bbl/day refinery at Jebel Ali, Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, traders said.

In addition to the reformer, the refinery expansion also includes a 70,000 bbl/day hydrotreater to process LPG and naphtha, traders said.

The upgraded refinery, which will use sour condensates, will produce low-sulphur naphtha, LPG and butane, they added.
